Northampton-based crypto founder Faisal Tariq has been connected to what authorities describe as the world's largest illegal weight-loss drug operation, according to a Guardian investigation. The probe reveals ties between Tariq's business ventures and an unlicensed pharmaceutical scheme uncovered during an October raid on a UK industrial unit.

Enforcement officials seized thousands of Alluvi-branded weight-loss pens containing unapproved clinical trial drugs, alongside manufacturing equipment and cash. The operation highlights growing concerns about crypto-related crime as regulators worldwide intensify scrutiny of digital asset markets.

Corporate records show connections between the raided facility and Tariq's business network, including shared addresses between his supplement company and an e-commerce platform that allegedly distributed the unregulated pharmaceuticals. Payment processor Stripe terminated services to the online distributor prior to the investigation.
